Our Philosophy

Living life your way is the only way. There are no short cuts to great service and it starts with getting to know you, your likes and dislikes, favourite foods and special care needs. This is what we believe in. This is how we build trust and companionship with each resident.

Our philosophy is to deliver unparalleled service and care to our residents by professional staff.

Our Pride

We like people to notice our pride from the moment you walk through the front doors. Our pride is deep rooted and is certainly a key ingredient in our success. Many of our staff and residents are from St. Catharines, a community known for its big heart. We are ecstatic about giving our residents and their families a whole lot of great care and tons of lasting memories. This is what sets us apart and what will continue to make The Loyalist shine with pride.

Our Community

The Loyalist is located in down town St. Catharines, Ontario, the largest city in the Niagara Peninsula. The city was founded by the Loyalists in 1780 and quickly became a major hub for business and trade in the area. Nicknamed the “Garden City” for its 1,000 plus acres of meticulously groomed parks, gardens and trails, the city is also recognized as the gateway to the Ontario wine region.

With an activities calendar that takes full advantage of the St. Catharines’ way of life, you will have the opportunity to experience wonderful places such as the Niagara Falls, Niagara-On-The-Lake and of course, the Niagara Fallsview Casino. If a little bit of exercise is what you are looking for, take a walk in the quaint downtown area or experience the Waterfront Trail that follows Lake Ontario. There are also many museums to explore including the St. Catharines’ Museum, the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the Morning star Mill.

St. Catharines is also home to a wide array of festivals including the Folk Arts Festival, the Art of Peace Festival and the Niagara Wine Festival, which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

It’s an amazing community with plenty of sights, sounds and activities. The Loyalist has become an integral part of the downtown fabric and is just waiting to show you how to live life to the fullest.
